After Stellar is like a brand new season. I take on new classes (this month I am teaching Hoop, a first in so long), and teach on a new schedule just to keep things interesting. I've lost my weekends, and I'm still getting into the groove of this new string of classes.
But the best part about this new teaching schedule, is that I get to start Mondays looking back at the week that was. As an aerial and fitness teacher, I always feel like there’s always so much to be done. So many lesson plans stuffed in my head, especially that I now have pole, hoop, and silk on my plate every week. I sometimes feel that I am left with so little time, and sometimes even the muscle strength to finish.
My favorite thing to do lately, is to go back and look at class photos. 💕 I never thought they would help me in this way. Usually, I think of photos at the end of class as a way to make sure that the people I meet have something to take home with them. Visual proof of the day they were scared but decided to do it anyway. Of how they thought they couldn’t, but realized after trying that they could. A memory of how brave they were because they chose to.
But now, they’re not just for my students, but for me as well.
They are reminders that no matter how exhausted I am at the end of the day, no matter how much mental, and emotional prep I must do. It is always worth it, because this is where I am meant to be. This is what I am meant to do. All I want is to run the best class that I can, every time I am on that floor. You have all of me. So take what you need, and make it your own. 🌟🌟🌟
I’m ready for another week now. Let’s make it unforgettable 🌈
