You don’t need to look far for inspiration. Sometimes, the most beautiful projects are found at home ground 🇵🇭 Here’s a vision that I support with all my heart.
The Kandama Collective, was born out of the heart of Victor Baguilat, an artist that has dedicated his life to keeping Filipino indigenous tradition alive. Each piece made by Kandama has been masterfully created by a rich history that comes from the women of Ifugao, who weave every piece of fabric used, as it was passed down to them from previous generations. It’s never just an ordinary piece, it’s something you wear with pride. Something that makes you say loud and proud — “Gawang Pilipino yan” and in my case, “Gawa yan ng kaibigan ko” ❤️
My favourite post uni stories are the ones of debaters who actually end up mustering the courage to try to change the world. It’s no longer just a game, no longer just a speech, and there’s no sure way to find out if you won. We can only try. But like always, we’re gonna win. We always do in the end.
