#HereToCreate

March 31, 2016 adidas launches Here To Create in Manila. Together with our friends from Anytime Fitness BGC, and Gatorade Philippines, we celebrate the strength of women as creators of their own brand of fitness. Among the ranks of mighty women include tennis superstar Ana Ivanovic, supermodel Karlie Kloss, and rock climbing champion Sasha Digiulian.

The campaign highlights their everyday adventures as seen through their social media accounts. Follow the discussion by checking the hashtag #heretocreate on Instagram.

On a much more personal take, this new anthem has reaffirmed why I started this blog in the first place. Once you are placed in a position of influence, you have a moral obligation to become a force for good. To create material that contributes to the greater benefit of society. At this point, you no longer do things for self interest alone. You become stronger for that girl in class who believes, that when you're there spotting her, she is safe. You train even if you don't want to, for your partner who believes that you are capable of doing anything. You speak up against skill shaming, because at one point, that girl who everyone says isn't good enough, was just like you. You become a champion not for yourself, but for the people around you that share your energy. It is your job to radiate. As bright as the sun.

Honestly, there are days when I feel that my brand of movement is deemed by others as less. That an aerialist can never be an athlete. It is during those moments that I push myself to create. To experience the beauty and strength of my body, brought about by nothing else but my sport. It is during those moments that you must rage a little louder. Don't just play the game. Become the change that it needs.

I am Kayleen, a lover of movement . An unconventional athlete. I am here to create.
